You don’t often get this emoji after a leadership course 😭

There were a good few 😭 emojis at the end of this programme.

I think it’s safe to say everyone felt sad when this 9 week Team TIE Leadership experience with Leo Burnett came to an end on Thursday.

The programme started with hefty dreams and objectives from the participants:
✨ personal growth
✨ gain new applicable experience and skills
✨ step out of comfort zones
✨ make a tangible difference to the world
✨ work with people around the company who they wouldn’t normally
✨ stretch brains
✨ step out of day-to-day roles
✨ experiment….and so much more.

And on Thursday I got to see people’s eyes widen with excitement as all objectives were met.

I have been doing this for 20 years, and the feeling NEVER gets old.

Over the programme people got to step into another world, work with new people, and experience the raw and rich TIE journey.

We had aha moments.

Everyone learned to work together with people from different sectors, backgrounds and cultures, with constraints at the core.

They leaned into new roles and realised they can be multifaceted, juggling multiple skill sets.

And the team developed confidence and new perspectives on how to work better with clients.

BUT…what is SO special about TIE programmes is that we ALSO impact the world.

The team had a clear objective to work on in a short 9 week period.

The focus this time was the MAR Fund, an organisation working to protect the ocean and its ecosystems in the MAR region of the world. And now they have a clear path and incredible tools that that will guide their future communications.
